Aspiro International S.A. officially opened in Luxembourg Aspiro, a world-leading provider of services and applications for mobile Internet, proceeds with its international expansion by officially opening a new subsidiary, Aspiro International S.A., in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Aspiro, which was founded in 1998, already has offices in Norway and the United States. Further plans are underway to open additional subsidiaries in Germany, France and the UK. Aspiro AB's new subsidiary, Aspiro International S.A., officially opened its offices in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on 11 April. The office is situated in Kirchberg, the center of the banking, IT and telecom industries in Luxembourg. Aspiro International S.A. will focus on Aspiro's international expansion as well as manage the group's global sales and marketing, business integration and investor relations. The new company also plans to establish subsidiaries in Germany, France and the UK in order to better serve these important markets with a local presence. The Luxembourg office presently employs ten people, the majority of whom are involved in sales. During the official opening ceremony last week, Lena Wittbjer, Aspiro International's CEO, stated that multicultural Luxembourg was the geographical and financial heart of Europe and already possesses all the qualities and services needed to turn itself into the new European hub for mobile Internet services. More than one hundred people attended the opening ceremony, including guests from the telecommunications and financial sectors, government representatives and journalists of the press.
