E-mail and telephony Aspiro owned Advox' e-mail solution in Ericsson PBX system. Aspiro owned Advox' e-mail solution Omnigate has been certified for integration with Ericsson's administration program for the MD110 PBX system. This means that operators who receive incoming phone calls now can forward them as e-mail, SMS and pager messages directly from the PBX. Omnigate is a universal server for any kind of electronic message. Users of any e-mail program* can send e-mail via the Internet to other e-mail systems, fax machines, pagers and GSM telephones. Omnigate supports all types of connections between different systems and to the Internet: modem, LAN, ISDN and fixed connections. Omnigate will be integrated with Ericsson's Dynamic Network Administration (DNA), which administers all MD110 PBX systems. "Omnigate is filling a great need in workplaces where personnel are not always in their offices, sitting by their stationary telephones. Now, the PBX operator can always reach the call recipient since incoming messages reach their destination regardless of where the recipient is and what means of communication he has at hand," relates Stefan Sjödin, Omnigate Product Manager at Aspiro. Ericsson Business Networks AB issued the certificate after a number of function tests of Omnigate integrated with Ericsson's administration program for the MD110 PBX system. "Ericsson sees Omnigate as an extremely important added function on our MD110 PBX. Omnigate also functions reliably and frictionlessly with our system. We are very pleased," says Lars Berggren, DNA Marketing Manager, Ericsson. The system is already in operation at Sahlgrenska sjukhuset, (Sahlgrenska Hospital) Karolinska sjukhuset (Karolinska Hospital), NCC and elsewhere. CeBIT 2000 Integration of DNA/MD110 and Omnigate will be demonstrated by Ericsson during CeBIT 2000 in Hanover, 23 February - 1 March, Hall 17, stand B:31.
