Aspiro receives Fleet Manager orders estimated at SEK 3 million Aspiro has signed four contracts regarding the sale of its WAP application Fleet Manager. The buyers are all European haulage companies. Aspiro's revenue, which is based on the companies' use of Fleet Manager, is estimated at SEK 3 million over a period of 24 months, including SEK 1.5 million during 2001. Aspiro has sold its WAP application, Fleet Manager, an order and monitoring system for logistics companies, to four European haulage companies. The revenues generated for Aspiro by the contracts are dependent of the customers' usage of Fleet Manager. During 2001, the revenues are estimated to amount to SEK 1.5 million. This figure is based on the haulage companies' current system usage. The customers, with a combined total of some 250 carriers, are Norwegian Oslo Follo Miljö AS, TBT Transport AS, Standard Installasjon & Service AS, also Norwegian, and German CityRunner Kurierdienst & Vermittlungs GmbH. All the sales contracts shall run for at least 24 months with a six- month notice to terminate, which means a total estimated value of SEK 3 million. The contracts will start with a 30-day pilot study. Aspiro will be responsible for operation and maintenance. "These deals signify the breakthrough for Aspiro's Fleet Manager," says Lena Wittbjer, CEO of Aspiro. "During the past few months we have witnessed a tremendous amount of interest in Fleet Manager from several haulage companies across Europe. And I believe that this interest will lead to further contracts in the near future." Aspiro's Fleet Manager is a complete system for small and medium-sized companies in the transportation and logistics sectors. The system handles everything from transport control of, for example, receiving orders and monitoring transport vehicles to status reports and billing information, with the help of a simple company database. Fleet Manager is a cost-effective alternative to other types of monitoring systems. All customers need is a standard PC connected to the Internet at its offices and one WAP phone per driver. Fleet Manager has been translated to eight different languages: Swedish, Norwegian, English, German, Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese. In 2000, Fleet Manager won WAP Forum's award for the year's best WAP application in the category "Best use of WAP in a Business Application". Fleet Manager was also nominated in the American mobile phone organization, CTIA's competition for mobile services.
