Aspiro previously announced the company’s intention to expand into a number of new growth segments: mobile marketing, search services, mobile TV, original music and communities on a larger scale. As part of this strategy, Aspiro is now consolidating its group management by hiring Gunnar Sellæg to head up these new growth segments.

Gunnar Sellæg is currently CEO of the multimedia arm of Norwegian daily newspaper Aftenposten, where he has been responsible for some of Norway’s most high-profile and successful Web initiatives like N24, Aftenposten.no, Golf.no and consumer Website Forbruker.no. He has personally participated in building several of these initiatives from scratch. Mr. Sellæg is a graduate engineer, and has been with Aftenposten for some seven years. He will become a member of Aspiro’s group management, be located in Oslo, and bear over-arching responsibility for the corporation’s new growth segments. “I’m very satisfied that we’ve hired Gunnar,” commented Aspiro’s CEO, Johan Lenander, “with his substantial experience, he’ll be a big asset to us. We’ve recently announced that we’re starting initiatives in mobile marketing, search services, mobile TV, original music and communities on a larger scale, and these are the segments Gunnar will head up. Gunnar will also be responsible for other initiatives we start in the future.”
