Aspiro's mobile Dating Game service makes finding a soul mate in a busy world easier and more fun. Owners of mobile WAP devices can now create virtual versions of themselves that then roam the airwaves in search of the right partner.

Aspiro's Dating Game service, Developed by the UK based games company Iomo Ltd., lets owners of mobile WAP-enabled devices create one, or more, virtual versions of themselves based on a series of personal questions such as age, sex, interest, likes and dislikes, that owners must first answer. Once this is done the virtual you then cruises the wireless airwaves in search of a compatible partner. Although similar to the hugely successful dating services pioneered in Japan, Aspiro's Dating Game is built around a protective environment that allows players to hide their true identities and telephone numbers unless, of course, they wish to reveal themselves to potential soul mates. Dating Game also allows virtual partners to go out on virtual dates to test their compatibility. The Dating Game, which is exclusive to Aspiro worldwide, has already been delivered to Swedish telecom operator Europolitan Vodafone and more orders are expected from other European operators who have expressed considerable interest in this type of mobile entertainment for their subscribers. "Aspiro always listens to the needs of operators and other customers, and closely follows new trends among end users," says Lena Wittbjer, CEO of Aspiro. "It's a well-known fact that millions of people send short romantic messages via SMS to each other every day around the world. Our Dating Game is a natural progression of this ever-growing trend, offering greater functionality, more possibilities and, most importantly, more fun." The service will be shown at the Mobile Entertainment 2001 trade fair in Paris on April 24-26.
