Aspiro's products ready for GPRS Aspiro's mobile Internet applications have been extensively tested both in Europolitan's network and at Ericsson's test laboratory, and have been shown to work just as problem-free in the GPRS environment as they do with GSM. All of Aspiro's mobile Internet applications function just as well in GPRS networks, so-called 2.5G, as they do with GSM. These are the results after numerous extensive tests of Aspiro's products. The tests, which were carried out both in Europolitan's GPRS network and at Ericsson's test laboratory, prove that Aspiro's products work problem-free in GPRS networks without the need for any additional technical alterations. This means that all the European teleoperators that offer Aspiro's mobile Internet applications across their networks, for example, Swedish Europolitan and Italian Blu, can immediately upgrade their GSM networks to handle GPRS without the risk of any deterioration in the quality of the mobile Internet products and services they provide. "The fact that Aspiro's products have now been thoroughly GPRS-tested means that we have already taken the first step towards 3G," says Thorleif Herrström, vice CEO of Aspiro. "Within the next 18 months we expect to see enormous investments in GPRS from the world's mobile teleoperators. This will dramatically increase the demand for mobile Internet applications as users will be continually connected to the Internet thus making the applications faster."
