In connection to the new cooperation between Norway’s largest music distributor Platekompaniet and operator djuice for a joined digital music store, Aspiro has signed a new agreement with Platekompaniet. Aspiro will become their technology partner for the sales of digital musical for PC, Mac and mobile. Aspiro has been the technology partner for Telenor and djuice music stores since 2007.

The new digital music store will be available both from mobile and computer and will also be open to customers from other operators than djuice/Telenor. All tracks and albums will be delivered in the MP3- format and will not be copy protected, so they can be played from and moved between for instance PC, Mac, iPod and mobile phones. The goal is to launch a new joined web and mobile store during fall 2008.

- We are very pleased with our cooperation with Aspiro. Their technical expertise makes them a key partner in our new initiative together with Platekompaniet, says music manager in Telenor Klaus Martin Sørland.

- We are already market leaders in music to mobile. Now we will be part of creating one of the biggest Norwegian music web stores as well, says Gunnar Sellæg, CEO of Aspiro.
