Aspiro signs exclusive distribution agreement with Europolitan for its Fleet Manager system. Europolitan Stores AB, a sister company to Europolitan, one of Sweden's largest GSM network operators, has signed a distribution agreement with Aspiro. The national deal gives Europolitan exclusive rights to sell Aspiro's Fleet Manager through its retail outlets across Sweden in combination with a Europolitan GSM subscription. "This agreement with Europolitan Stores gives Aspiro a powerful distribution channel for its Fleet Manager system through a company known for its good service and reputation for quality," says Peter Wiråker, product manager at Aspiro. Aspiro's Fleet Manager is a complete wireless management control system for small to medium-sized transport and logistics companies. Using WAP technology it integrates all aspects of vehicle fleet management such as order entry, dispatching, status reports and billing information with a single company database. The solution is a cost effective and low investment alternative needing only a PC connected to the Internet and one WAP phone per driver. When Aspiro's Fleet Manager was launched onto the Swedish market it generated immediate interest. The agreement consolidates Aspiro's growing market by providing a new distribution channel through Europolitan Stores' retail outlets and national sales force. In turn, Europolitan becomes the first operator in the world to offer ASP-solutions to transport and logistics customers. "Aspiro Fleet Manager is a very interesting application and a valuable addition to our present portfolio of products and services", says Jan Karlsson, Director of Sales at Europolitan Stores. "Many of our customers represent the area of logistics and transportation, and are demanding this type of service." Europolitan will show Aspiro Fleet Manager at the fair "Logistik & rd th Transport", at Svenska Mässan in Gothenburg, during the 23 -25 of May 2000. Exhibition stand B 05:29.
