Aspiro Supplies Java Games to mmO2 Aspiro has via its wholly owned subsidiary Picofun signed a frame agreement with the British based mobile operator mmO2 to supply mobile games throughout all markets served by mmO2. The first games will be launched in the United Kingdom during October. mmO2 (formerly known as British Telecom Mobile) provides mobile services in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland and on the Isle of Man. In total, the company serves over 17.75 million mobile subscribers. At the beginning of September mmO2 launched their mobile games portal, O2 Games Arcade, in the United Kingdom. Subscribers can download games to their telephone from the portal. Starting in October, O2 Games Arcade will be accessible in all of mmO2's markets. "We pick only the most entertaining and fun mobile games," says Tim Raby, Head of Games at mmO2, "and we look forward to providing mobile games from Picofun/Aspiro as one of our selected suppliers to O2 Games Arcade." The agreement, which is 12 months in length and based upon revenue sharing, is for the British, German, Irish and Dutch markets. The agreement encompasses a wide range of Java, WAP, SMS and MMS games. The first Java game to be launched is "Funny Balls" for Nokia and Siemens telephones. It will be available in the United Kingdom in the beginning of October. In addition, four SMS games will be launched in the near future.
