Miles Ahead develops bingo software for Interactive Video Terminals – signs first deal in Norway
2010-10-07: Miles Ahead, a subsidiary of Aspiro, today confirmed it has signed an agreement with Norwegian bingo system provider Norsk Bingo for the development and launch of a new bingo platform for Interactive Video Terminals (IVT). The first network using the platform, developed exclusively by Miles Ahead, is currently in test and planned to be released in the Norwegian market Q4 2010.
The platform, delivered by Miles Ahead, includes an advanced game engine server and a client with an intuitive design and thrilling mini-games. In addition, the platform handles player wallets, affiliates, accounting and reporting to the Norwegian Government.
“We switched to Miles Ahead’s bingo platform because of their innovative design, superior service and ability to adapt the service to local regulations and reporting. Their mini-games have also increased player loyalty,” said Lars Bakken Elvsveen, CEO of Norsk Bingo.
The player easily accesses the network by swiping a player card over the IVT located in stores and bingo halls throughout Norway. In addition to traditional 75 ball, 75 ball Scandinavian Variant or 90 ball bingo, the platform also offers mini-games such as scratch cards, Jewel Bingo and other casino and bingo-like games.

According to industry statistics from The Norwegian Gaming and Foundation Authority the estimated Norwegian market for bingo games was NOK 1.9 billion back in 2008.
