The Norwegian Ministry of Government Administration and Reform has today announced to Aspiro that they choose to follow the Competition Authority's decision to stop the sales of the search business to Opplysningen Mobil AS.

Ministry announces, however, that they received information from Opplysningen of a possible context between acquisition of Aspiro Search and the ability to retain jobs within the group. On this background the government will contact Opplysningen to evaluate the possibility of reversing the decision pursuant to the Competition law, section 21. The paragraph makes it possible to allow the merger if it is of great importance for society. Final decision on this is expected within one to two weeks.

The sale includes subsidiary Aspiro Søk AS with Aspiro’s two largest Norwegian short numbers 1985 and 2100. Aspiro will continue to operate its services as before, while other possible alternatives are evaluated.

The Search business had revenues of about SEK 59 m in 2008 with an EBITDA of approximately SEK 43 m.

Aspiro discloses the information provided herein pursuant to the Securities Markets Act and/or the Financial Instruments Trading Act. The information was submitted for publication at 16:00 on 17 April 2009.
