After 12 years as chairman of ASSA ABLOY, Georg Ehrnrooth will leave the board at the Annual General Meeting in April.

"I've been chairman of the board since the group was founded in 1994, and I've seen amazing growth," Ehrnrooth says. "The level of Finnish ownership has gradually decreased to almost nothing, so this seems like a appropriate time for me to retire."

The nomination committee has recommended Gustaf Douglas as the new chairman of the board.

"ASSA ABLOY has just appointed a new CEO, Johan Molin, and is looking forward to an exciting period of growth as the world's leading company in this industry," Douglas says. "I'm looking forward to heading the board in the coming years."

In addition to usual business, the annual general meeting will deal with a proposal from the board for an incentive program targeting leading personnel within the ASSA ABLOY Group.
