When Lanarkshire-based, JHP Transport (Lanark) Ltd, had an immediate need for a low loader trailer to fulfil a new contract with a well-known plant hire group, they turned to their longstanding commercial vehicle finance provider, Asset Alliance Group (AAG).

Via its subsidiary, ATE Truck & Trailer Sales Limited in Newmains, Asset Alliance were able to meet their requirements in just two weeks, supplying a new Montracon tri axle, low loader trailer from stock and a new Volvo FH540 from Volvo Broxburn, on an all-encompassing three year contract hire agreement from Asset Alliance Ltd.

Jim Prentice commented, “As our business grows it becomes more important that we diversify to meet our clients’ needs in every way possible, whilst maintaining the service levels that we have become respected for. This is a new area of transport for us and we needed sound advice on the equipment best suited for the job. We enjoy a strong relationship with Asset Alliance Group and we find their proposition unique in that they can provide any truck or trailer, specified to our own requirements, very quickly and with a full 24 hour back up service. They go the extra mile to support our business and for that reason they were the first point of call for us.”

Allan commented on the opportunity with JHP, “When Jim Prentice called for advice, we knew that we had to provide him with the right product for the job quickly and structured in such a way as to minimise the operational and financial risk for him. By pulling expertise from all areas of our group, as well as partners Montracon and Volvo, we are confident that we have achieved this. The whole deal was completed in two weeks, from initial discussion to delivery, in order to meet their contract deadlines.”
