AHF Honored with APEX Award of Excellence

Louisville, KY (July 27, 2010) – The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF), the newly-formed professional society for healthcare food and nutrition professionals in self-operated facilities, received a national award of excellence from the Twenty-second annual APEX Awards for publication excellence from communications professionals.

APEX recognizes excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. The Awards of Excellence honor exceptional entries in select categories and are judged by a panel of national editors and publishers. More than 3,700 entries were submitted by communications professionals from across the United States.

AHF received an Award of Excellence in the “Education & Training, Brochures, Manuals and Reports Category.” The winning entry was for the Association for Healthcare Foodservice’s 2010 “Power of One” Inaugural Conference registration brochure.

AHF’s 2010 Inaugural Conference was held in Austin, Texas from June 5-9, representing over 2,000 members comprised of foodservice directors, administrators and business partners. The conference was the culmination of a year-long consolidation of two previous legacy associations.

“Receiving this distinguished award from APEX on top of the overwhelming success of our Inaugural Conference is a thrill that exceeds our expectations,” said Kris Schroeder, AHF President.

FSA Management Group, www.aboutfsa.com, an association management firm headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, produced the award-winning brochure on behalf of AHF. The AHF Inaugural Conference brochure is highlighted on AHF’s website www.healthcarefoodservice.org.
