By acquiring Martinsson (Sweden), WM-data High Availability Server & Storage (Norway), WM-data Servers & Storage (Denmark) Atea break new grounds in IT-infrastructure. The Nordic companies’ offer will supplement each other and give the customers of Atea one provider in all aspects of their investment in IT-infrastructure. The new Atea becomes the Nordic regions leading vendor independent provider of IT-infrastructure.

- The market increasingly calls for a vendor offering to relieve pressure within IT-infrastructure and hence free resources to enable optimised use of IT, states Atea CEO Sebastian Lindström. This is strategically the next step in the journey Atea started with the acquisitions of Swedish WM-data System Platforms and Finnish companies WM-data X-Way and Novosys. At the same time we also acquire Danish WM-data Servers & Storage and Norwegian WM-data High Availability Server & Storage. Hence the conditions for a leading independent Nordic vendor are made. Atea will after the acquisition of Martinsson consist of approx.1,500 co-workers in the whole Nordic region and have a turnover of more than 7,000 MSEK. The acquisition requires approval from involved Competition Authorities, which is expected within four weeks.
