NEW YORK – June 15, 2012 – Doncaster has been selected to provide women’s wardrobe to NBC Olympics, a division of the NBC Sports Group, during its production of the London 2012 Summer Olympics from July 27-August 12. The announcement was made today by Gary Zenkel, President, NBC Olympics and Pell Tanner, CEO, Doncaster.

Female broadcasters Kelly Tilghman, as well as former Olympian, Rennae Stubbs, and the Emmy Award winning Mary Carillo will all be debuting individual looks designed by Doncaster while they provide us with their up to the minute Olympic coverage.

Celebrity stylist, Amy Acton, who has the duties of styling the 13 studio anchors and 103 reporters for the 5,535 anticipated hours of NBC coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games felt that the Doncaster brand was the ideal choice for the female hosts.

“The moment I saw the Doncaster collection I knew it was the right fit. Doncaster’s modern sensibility and clean aesthetic coupled with the luxurious fabrics make for the perfect combination. The Doncaster line has something for every woman no matter what her lifestyle, be it casual or corporate and anything in between. I love the fact that I am styling 3 very different women and I was able to create a specific look for each lady that suits their unique and individual style from just one clothing brand” said Acton.

About DONCASTER.
Since 1931, Doncaster has been a family-owned, family operated company, led by descendants of our founders Millie and S.B. (Bobo) Tanner.  It was Millie, in fact, who championed the idea of women selling to women – a very unusual concept at the time. Millie recognized the then-untapped potential of women. She saw entrepreneurship as a new way that women could contribute to the family while building confidence and an independent spirit.

Doncaster is the originator of social selling.
