About Us

The Atlanta History Center is an all-inclusive destination featuring the Atlanta History Museum; two historic houses, 1928 Swan House and 1860 Smith Family Farm; the Centennial Olympic Games Museum; Kenan Research Center; Grand Overlook event space; Chick-Fil-A at the Coca-Cola Café, a museum shop, and the Goizueta Gardens, featuring 22 acres of gardens, walkways, paths and trails. In addition, the History Center operates the Margaret Mitchell House located in Midtown Atlanta.

Celebrate Atlanta’s Haunted History with this Halloween Themed Event on October 24, 2013, 6 – 9 PMWHAT: Party with the Past promises guests a kick-awesome time at this free Halloween themed event. Geared towards Atlanta’s young professional crowd, Atlanta History Center’s Party with the Past program is hosted in a unique venue each time, and offers party-goers a free history lesson accompanied by beer, wine, and tasty treats. This month’s attendees will hear from a paranormal specialist about Atlanta’s haunted history while enjoying snacks available for purchase
