Atlas Copco acquires Turkish compressor distributor

Stockholm, Sweden, March 2, 2017: Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has acquired Orcan Basincli Hava Makinalari San. ve Tic. Ltd., a Turkish distributor and service provider of Atlas Copco industrial air compressors and related products.  

Orcan is based in Istanbul and operates throughout the European part of Turkey. It has 17 employees. Orcan’s business is focused on distribution and service of Atlas Copco compressors and air treatment systems for use in such areas as manufacturing and general industry.

We are happy that the great team at Orcan is joining us as they will help us increase productivity for more customers in Turkey,” said Nico Delvaux, President of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area.

The purchase price is insignificant relative to Atlas Copco’s market capitalization and is not disclosed. The company becomes part of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area.
