Atlas Copco acquires U.S. compressor distributor

Stockholm, Sweden, August 8, 2017: Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has acquired certain assets of Glauber Equipment Corporation, an Atlas Copco compressed air distributor and service provider. 

Glauber Equipment is headquartered in Lancaster, New York, United States, and is active in Upstate and Western New York. Atlas Copco acquired Glauber Equipment’s compressor-related business. It sells, rents out, installs and services Atlas Copco products, including compressors and ancillary equipment, to industrial manufacturers and other customers. Sixteen Glauber Equipment employees are joining Atlas Copco.

Having the strong team at Glauber Equipment as part of our Group will give us increased focus on and direct access to more customers in this important region,” said Vagner Rego, President of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area. 

The purchase price is not material relative to Atlas Copco’s market capitalization and is not disclosed. The business becomes part of the Compressor Technique business area.
