Atlas Copco announces new members of the Board of Epiroc AB – the company planned to be listed in 2018
Stockholm, Sweden, September 5, 2017: The Board of Directors of Atlas Copco AB today announces the appointments of four additional members of the Board of Directors of Epiroc AB. More Board members will be appointed at a later stage.
The now appointed members of the Board of Epiroc are Johan Forssell, Anders Ullberg, Ulla Litzén and Lennart Evrell. The appointment of Ronnie Leten as Chair of the Board was announced on April 26, 2017.
The Board of Atlas Copco has been supported by the Nomination Committee of Atlas Copco in finding suitable candidates.
The appointed Board members of Epiroc so far are:
Ronnie Leten, Chair of the Board, is a former President and CEO of Atlas Copco AB. He is Chair of Electrolux AB, a household appliances group, and member of the Board of AB SKF, a ball bearings specialist. Ronnie Leten, born 1956, is a Belgian citizen. He has a M.Sc. Applied Economics from the University of Hasselt, Belgium.
Johan Forssell, Board member, is President and CEO, and Board member, of Investor AB. He is a Board member of Atlas Copco AB; Wärtsilä, a provider of advanced technologies for the marine and energy markets; Investor AB-owned Patricia Industries; and of private equity group EQT AB. Johan Forssell, born 1971, is a Swedish citizen. He has a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration, Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden.
Anders Ullberg, Board member, is Chair of the Boards of mining and smelting specialist Boliden AB and nuclear power company Studsvik AB. He is a member of the Boards of Atlas Copco AB, component manufacturer Beijer Alma AB and of consultancy and investment company Valedo Partners. Anders Ullberg, born 1946, is a Swedish citizen. He has a B.Sc. Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden.
Ulla Litzén, Board member, is Board member of heat transfer, separation and fluid handling specialist Alfa Laval AB, household appliances group Electrolux AB, producer of outdoor power products Husqvarna AB, building and construction company NCC AB, and investment company Ratos AB. Ulla Litzén, born 1956, is a Swedish citizen. She has a B.Sc. Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden, and an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States.
Lennart Evrell, Board member, is President and CEO, and Board member, of mining and smelting specialist Boliden AB. He is a Board member of forest, pulp and paper specialist SCA and of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. Lennart Evrell, born 1954, is a Swedish citizen. He has a M.Sc. in Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Uppsala University, both in Sweden.
Epiroc is a fully-owned subsidiary of Atlas Copco. At Atlas Copco’s Annual General Meeting in April 2018, shareholders will decide whether Epiroc should apply to be listed on the stock exchange. Provided shareholders agree with the proposal, Atlas Copco will stay focused on creating value for industrial customers, while Epiroc will be a leading productivity partner for customers in mining, infrastructure and natural resources.
