Atlas Copco has acquired an engine service company in the US

Stockholm, Sweden, May 2, 2019: Atlas Copco has acquired Mid South Engine & Power Systems, LLC. The company is a leading provider of service for off-road engines and spare parts in the US Gulf Coast.

Mid South is based in White Oak, Texas, USA and has 28 employees. The company has a second facility in Fort Worth, also in Texas, and mainly serves the oil and gas market in the US Gulf Coast.

In 2018, the company had a turnover of MUSD 6 (MSEK 54).

“Mid South has a strong reputation and capabilities to repair and refurbish portable compressors and engines”, said Andrew Walker, Business Area President Power Technique. “The acquisition is in line with our strategy to strengthen our service offering and acquiring core competencies”.

The purchase price is not material relative to Atlas Copco’s market capitalization and is not disclosed.

Mid South Engine & Power Systems, LLC will operationally become part of the Power Technique Service division.
