Stockholm, Sweden, October 7, 2011: Atlas Copco has completed the acquisition of the German adhesive equipment manufacturer SCA Schucker, following all necessary governmental approvals.

SCA Schucker manufactures adhesive and sealant equipment, a relatively large niche segment with few global specialized players. The market is expanding fast due to the increasing use of lightweight materials in the automotive and other industries. The company had sales of MEUR 65 (MSEK 600) in 2010 and about 280 employees.

The acquired business now operates as a separate business line within the business area Industrial Technique’s Motor Vehicle Industry division.
