Atlas Copco named a Leader in FTSE4Good index
Stockholm, Sweden, July 4, 2013: Atlas Copco again was selected as a member of the FTSE4Good index, which includes world-leading companies that score well on environmental, social and governance practices, and was named a “Leader.”
Atlas Copco got a score of 96 out of 100 in global index provider FTSE Group’s evaluation of companies on issues such as fighting corruption and promoting labor and human rights as well as the environment. Atlas Copco was named a “Leader” within the index’s Industrial Goods & Services segment, which includes only five companies globally.
“We are working very hard to create value for all stakeholders, ranging from customers to the society as a whole, and this is reflected by FTSE4Good recognizing us as a leader,” said Mala Chakraborti, Vice President Corporate Responsibility at Atlas Copco. “The index’s criteria for companies are getting tougher, and we are proud of our work with sustainable productivity that includes providing increasingly energy-efficient and safe products and services.”
Earlier this year Atlas Copco was acknowledged as one of the world’s most sustainable companies in the Global 100 list presented at the World Economic Forum, as well as ranked one of the most ethical companies by Ethisphere Institute.
