Stockholm, Sweden, April 10, 2008: Atlas Copco has established a new customer center in Bangladesh in order to meet the strong demand for compressors, created by the country’s fast-growing investments in industry and infrastructure.

The new customer center is established at a time when the country’s market for compressors is growing at 15-20% annually. The customer center will offer the latest range of Atlas Copco and CP Chicago Pneumatic branded compressors as well as other Atlas Copco products and services.

“By establishing a customer center in Bangladesh we will be able to expand our product offer and our world class service network to this rapidly growing market, all to the benefit of our customers,” says Ronnie Leten, Business Area President, Atlas Copco Compressor Technique.

Atlas Copco has previously been represented in Bangladesh through distributors and has now acquired a distributor of compressed natural gas (CNG) compressors that will be the platform for the customer center. The customer center employs about 20 sales and service employees initially.
