Atlas Copco’s intelligent screwdrivers, socket selectors and FlexDrive system win Red Dot Design Awards
Stockholm, Sweden, May 8, 2018: Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has won three prestigious Red Dot Design Awards for 2018.
“We are proud to be recognized with this prize for outstanding design,” said Henrik Elmin, President of Atlas Copco’s Industrial Technique business area. “The products are designed to be ergonomic and provide customer benefits by reducing weight, increasing durability and being more intuitive and easy to use”.
The Red Dot Design Award for 2018 recognizes the wireless socket selector, an intelligent reporting accessory for assembly operations in industrial environment; the ETD 21 and 41, a range of intelligent screwdrivers used for the assembly of micro screws in electronic products and the FlexDrive system, a new control system optimized for robot based automation.
The products are designed and manufactured by divisions within the Industrial Technique business area.
The official Red Dot Gala will take place in Essen, Germany, on July 9th.
