Atlas Copco to acquire specialized vacuum systems and solutions provider based in Germany

Nacka, Sweden, May 31, 2021: Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire ARPUMA regel- und fördertechnische Geräte GmbH, known as Arpuma. The company is a highly specialized vacuum systems and solutions provider for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

Arpuma is based in Kerpen, near Cologne in Germany, and has 14 employees. The customer base is in Germany, and the company serves big chemical process customers. Arpuma’s systems are installed globally.

This acquisition will enable us to grow our systems and solutions business within the chemical and pharmaceutical industry,” said Geert Follens, Business Area President Vacuum Technique. The company’s core competence is in customer consulting, application knowledge and system integration.”

The purchase price is not material relative to Atlas Copco’s market capitalization and is not disclosed.

The acquired business will operationally become part of the Industrial Vacuum Division within the Vacuum Technique Business Area.

The acquisition is expected to close in the later part of Q2 2021.
