    Atlas Copco builds new research and development center in China

    Stockholm, Sweden, February 2, 2011: Atlas Copco has decided to invest approximately MRMB 60 (MSEK 60) to build a new research and development center in Nanjing, China, to safeguard the Group’s competitiveness on the Chinese market.     Atlas Copco doubles contribution to Water for All

    Atlas Copco will increase its contribution to Water for All in order to enable clean drinking water for more people in need. From 2011, the Atlas Copco Group will give two times the sum of the voluntary employee donations. Up till now, around one million people have received clean drinking water through Water for All.Water for All was founded in Sweden in 1984 by Atlas Copco employees. The organization operates with the motto that clean drinking water is a basic human right and have over the years helped people in countries like Peru, Sudan, Afghanistan and China to get safe drinking water.

    Stockholm, Sweden, March 10, 2009: Atlas Copco has as of March 1 finalized the outstanding parts in the acquisition of Aggreko plc’s European oil-free air compressor rental business.The acquired business had revenues in 2008 of about MEUR 10 (MSEK 110) and 21 employees.
