ATRIA GROUP PLC'S SHARE ISSUE SUBSCRIBED FOR IN FULL

The subscription period for the share issue based on shareholders' pre-emptive 
subscription rights, in accordance with the resolution passed by an 
extraordinary general meeting of Atria Group plc on 11 November 2003, ended on 
12 December 2003. On the basis of the primary subscription rights, over 99 per 
cent of the shares offered in the share issue were subscribed for. The amount of 
subscriptions made on the basis of the secondary subscription rights exceeded 
the number of shares offered. About 5,500 investors subscribed for shares in the 
share issue.

The Board of Directors of Atria Group plc has accepted the subscriptions made in 
the share issue on the basis of the primary subscription rights. The new shares 
subscribed for on the basis of the primary subscription rights will be admitted 
to public trading on the Main List of Helsinki Exchanges as an separate class of 
shares as from 15 December 2003. 

The amount of subscriptions made on the basis of the secondary subscription 
rights exceeded the number of shares offered. The shares will be allotted 
amongst the shareholders subscribing for them in proportion to their 
shareholdings on the record date, 14 November 2003. Details of the allotment of 
shares on the basis of the secondary subscription rights will be released on 18 
December 2003.

As a consequence of the share issue, Atria's share capital will be raised by EUR 
8,964,409.40. Following the registration of the new shares, the company's share 
capital will be EUR 35,857,637.60, which is divided into 11,888,747 Series A 
shares and 9,203,981 Series KII shares. The share capital increase will be 
entered in the Trade Register on or about 22 December 2003, at which time the 
shares subscribed for on the basis of the primary subscription rights will cease 
to be listed as a separate share class on Helsinki Exchanges. The new shares 
will be listed together with the existing shares beginning on or about 23 
December 2003.

The new shares entitle their shareholders to a full dividend as from the 
financial year commencing on 1 January 2003. The shares will confer the other 
rights in the company as from registration of the increase in share capital.
