Report this content

Atria has joined the international United Nations Global Compact initiative and has been accepted to the Climate Ambition Accelerator training programme. In its own responsibility work, Atria has already committed to the ten principles of the Global Compact and the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. Joining the UN Global Compact Corporate initiative will strengthen Atria's development work in environmental and social responsibility.

Atria also participates in the Climate Ambition Accelerator training programme, which aims to help and encourage companies to set and achieve science-based emission reduction targets. The implementation of these joint targets aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C.

The UN Global Compact is a corporate responsibility initiative launched by the UN in 2000. It gives companies the tools to promote environmental, social and economic responsibility, building on the Global Compact's ten principles of responsibility and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). More than 15 000 companies from 160 countries are already participating.

The commitment to the UN Global Compact and participation in the Climate Ambition Accelerator further strengthens Atria's overall sustainability agenda and commitment to science-based goals. It will also support Atria's efforts to make its own operations and those of its entire value chain increasingly responsible and sustainable.

Atria supports the sustainable development goals. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN member states aim to eradicate extreme poverty and achieve sustainable development that takes equal account of the environment, the economy and people. Atria contributes to the goals in areas relevant to its business.
