Atria to reshape its operations at the Jyväskylä production plant

Atria has decided to reshape the production capacity and organisation of the Jyväskylä plant in order to adapt them to the changes in freight work for consumer-packed meat. Saarioinen Oy has terminated the contract concerning meat packaging at the Jyväskylä production plant with effect from 1 February 2015. As a result, the necessary adaptation measures and personnel negotiations will begin immediately. The negotiations will affect 48 employees in Jyväskylä. The termination of the agreement will only affect freight work, and the deliveries of meat raw materials to Saarioinen will continue.

In February 2014, Atria purchased Saarioinen's procurement, slaughtering and cutting operations for beef, pork and chicken. The recently launched adaptation measures concern the manufacturing and packaging of consumer-packed meat performed by Atria for Saarioinen Oy at the Jyväskylä production plant.
