RETIREMENTS CAUSE CHANGES IN ATRIA'S MANAGEMENT COMPOSITION


Matti Tikkakoski is Atria's CEO

In its organization meeting following the annual general meeting, Atria Group
plc's Supervisory Board appointed Matti Tikkakoski, MSc (Econ.), age 52, to the
post of chief executive director of the company. Tikkakoski will assume his
duties at Atria starting November 1, 2005, and the actual duties of CEO of the
company on February 1, 2006, when the company's current CEO Seppo Paatelainen
reaches the agreed retirement age of 62 years.

Matti Tikkakoski leaves the service of his present employer, Å&R Carton AB, where
he has worked since 2003, most recently as the company vice-president, to join
Atria. During the period 1980-2002 Tikkakoski was in the employ of Huhtamäki Oyj
holding positions such as Jalostaja's sales and marketing director, Polarcup
Group's president, and most recently Huhtamäki Oyj's vice-president and member of
the Board of Directors.

Matti Tikkakoski has in-depth experience of the food industry and marketing of
retail products in Europe and Asia along with considerable international
experience having held highly responsible management positions over a period of
more than 10 years.


Appointments in Atria's administration

The members whose turn it is to withdraw from the membership of Atria Group plc's
Board of Directors are Reino Penttilä, the chairman of the Board and Seppo
Paatelainen, member of the Board of Directors. Atria Group plc's Supervisory
Board has appointed Martti Selin to the position of chairman of the Board of
Directors in place of Reino Penttilä. This chairmanship will be changed because
Reino Penttilä has reached the age of 65 years. Seppo Paatelainen was reappointed
as member of the Board of Directors.

Atria Group plc's Board of Directors now has the following membership: chairman
Martti Selin, vice-chairman Timo Komulainen, members Tuomo Heikkilä, Runar
Lillandt, Seppo Paatelainen, Erkki Roivas, and Ilkka Yliluoma.

Ahti-Pekka, chairman of the Supervisory Board, was reappointed and vice-chairman
Martti Selin was replaced by Heikki Panula.
