SEPPO PAATELAINEN TO CONTINUE AS ATRIA'S ADVISOR FOR THE RUSSIAN PIT PRODUKT
COMPANY AND AS MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR ATRIA'S COMPANIES IN SWEDEN

Atria Group plc's CEO Seppo Paatelainen is to retire as of 1 February 2006 at the
age of 62. At the same time he will step down from the Board of Directors of
Atria Group plc. Following his retirement, Mr. Paatelainen will continue acting
as Atria's advisor in the process of taking over the PIT PRODUKT business, a
company located in St. Petersburg, Russia. He will also participate in the
planning process for the new meat processing plant and logistics centre. This
investment will more than double the company's production capacity.


In addition, Mr. Paatelainen will continue as member of the Board of Directors of
Atria Lithells AB, Atria Concept AB and Svenska Snabbmat AB, Atria's subsidiaries
in Sweden.
