With van MOT pass rates still proving a national issue, ATS Euromaster is tackling the problem head-on with a new free guide aimed at maximising van uptime, available on its stand at the CV Show.

Van Down? The ATS Euromaster Guide to Maximising Van Uptime is the ultimate van reference guide, filled with helpful hints and time and cost saving tips. With statistics from the DVSA showing that 49 per cent of 3-3.5 tonne LCVs failed a Class VII MOT in 2014-15, there is a real challenge in making sure that vehicle assets are up to scratch to maximise productivity.

Peter Fairlie, ATS Euromaster’s Group Sales Director, says: “Vehicles that pass their MOT first time maximise their uptime. Given 3-3.5 tonne vans have the lowest first time pass rate of any class of vehicle, we want to help fleets to tackle this serious issue head-on. With their own expert knowledge supplemented with tips and advice from ATS Euromaster, van operators will be better placed to maximise their uptime – and potentially avoid costly MOT-related issues.”

The Van Down? booklet is packed full of need-to-know information to help support van fleet managers target improvements, not only in terms of first time MOT pass rates but also to ensure they’re not let down by their tyres or major components. The booklet will also provide hints and tips on the most effective ways to manage an entire fleet.

As well as the common causes of MOT failure, the booklet also explores the importance of tyre maintenance, component checks and looks at the importance of choosing the correct fleet service provider, all aimed at supporting van operators maximise their fleet uptime.

Van Down? The ATS Euromaster Guide to Maximising Van Uptime will be available free from the ATS Euromaster stand (4D10) at the CV Show, and can be downloaded from www.atseuromaster.co.uk/business from 26 April.
