RoSPA RECOGNISES ATS EUROMASTER’S COMMITMENT WITH SECOND GOLD AWARD AND GUARDIAN ANGEL TITLE
19 May 2015
For the second year running, ATS Euromaster has been awarded the highest accolade from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), the Gold Award, for its outstanding commitment to safer workplaces.
Additionally, Paul Millward, Health and Safety Advisor, ATS Euromaster, has been awarded the title of ‘Guardian Angel’ by RoSPA, for his personal commitment in ensuring safety across the business.
ATS Euromaster is the only national tyre specialist to be accredited with the RoSPA Gold Award, along with the company’s numerous other accolades and accreditations for safety, including Safecontractor and the Contractors Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS). Safety is masterminded by Stan Rudowski, Group Head of Health, Safety and Technical Services, ATS Euromaster, who is one of just 200 people in Europe to hold European Occupational Safety and Health Manager (EurOSHM) accreditation.
Rudowski says: “Safe working is at the heart of everything we do. I’m delighted that our entire team’s hard work to ensure the very safest in working practices, learned from fifty years of experience across the business, maintains a work environment staffed by experts who deliver outstanding customer care.”
ATS Euromaster operates a ‘Safe by Choice’ programme, which encourages staff to make safety their personal choice. Millward’s individual award recognises the extent to which he has supported this award-winning agenda, having been personally responsible for creating, developing, filming and even starring in two fire safety DVDs and a driver safety DVD in addition to his regular duties.
Rudowski adds: “People such as Paul Millward are the reason we’ve been able to receive this award for a second year running. He has inspired the entire team and taken on safety responsibilities well beyond his official remit, but with the ethos of making safety a personal choice at the heart of everything he does.”
With more than 340 centres and one of the largest mobile service fleets in the UK all placing the highest premium on safety, customers can be secure in the knowledge that wherever they are, they’re in good hands. ATS Euromaster Group Managing Director Peter Allen says: “We set and achieve the highest standards of safety across the company, so it’s easy for customers to do business with a tyre specialist and be sure they are getting a quality, safe service.”
The RoSPA Safety Awards recognise health and safety excellence, and are only awarded to businesses which demonstrate a commitment to implementing a range of health and safety practices. Established in 1956, the Awards set the standard for excellence in safe business practices.
