Attendo will evaluate strategic alternatives for its Finnish healthcare operations

The Board of Directors of Attendo has initiated a process to evaluate strategic options regarding its healthcare and dental care operations in Finland, including a potential divestment.

Attendo’s strategy is to focus on own operations. Over the past ten years, Attendo has grown rapidly in own operations in care for older people and other forms of social care, both organically and through acquisitions.

In addition to care services, Attendo offers healthcare services in Finland. Attendo's healthcare business includes primary care, specialist care and dental clinics and had revenues of EUR 234m in 2017. Attendo’s healthcare business is very well positioned to benefit from the increased focus on freedom of choice coming in the Finnish healthcare market.

The assessment of different strategic options will be carried out during first half of 2018 and includes a potential divestment of the healthcare and dental care businesses. Attendo has engaged Danske Bank as financial adviser to assist in the evaluation.
