AU-System and Ericsson Broaden Partnership in Mobile Portals Stockholm, Sweden - March 8, 2001 - AU-System and Ericsson Sverige AB have reached a partnership agreement to offer a package solution for mobile portals, Douglastm, to the corporate market in Sweden. Douglas is based on the WISEtm platform currently employed by portal enterprises such as Speedy Tomato. The agreement means that AU-System and Ericsson Sverige will both be responsible for implementation of - and service development surrounding - the platform for companies in the Swedish market. "Mobile portals are an important step in the utilisation of the mobile Internet and a powerful tool for corporate business applications," says Steinar Jahre, Segment Manager at AU-System. The platform is scaleable and independent of access method, operator, and terminal. Both the technology and the implementation are standardised, which speeds startup time for the customer. Potential target groups for Douglas include companies that want to establish individualised contact with many different clients, such as banks, newspapers, and retail chains. While WISE is offered to the operator market, Douglas is adapted for the corporate market. Prioritised functions include customer service, support, and targeted offers.
