Audio-Technica ATH-PDG1

Boasting an open-back design, these headphones provide gamers with a natural and more spacious sound, ideal for first person shooters and adventure games alike. Large 40mm drivers and featherweight CCAW (copper-clad aluminium wire) voice coils are tuned to deliver the nuanced audio details present in today’s high-res game sounds. The lightweight but robust aluminium honeycomb casing also contributes to the ATH-PDG1’s widescreen sound while its open-back profile helps keep things cool during long gaming sessions.

With a closed-back design, the ATH-PG1 is suited to gamers looking for an immersive, enveloping but no less precise sound. The 44mm drivers provide dynamic, accurate and detailed audio reproduction while helping to recreate the intensity of a players captivating virtual environment. With no sound leak and impressive noise isolation, the ATH-PG1s are ideal for playing in environments with other family members. The closed-back design also adds weight to cinematic scores and creates a concert hall feeling for all games.

Online gamers can stay in constant communication with fellow players using the built-in flexible Gooseneck boom microphone. With an in-line remote featuring mute and volume buttons for easy control during gameplay, the microphone delivers crystal clear voice audio with a clear separation from in-game audio for ultimate clarity of communication.

Comfort is a priority for gamers and these headphones boast ultra-soft leather earpads and sturdy but lightweight headbands to minimise any fatigue.

Both headphones come with three detachable cables for connection to various console sources and devices. A 1.2m boom-mic cable provides hook-up to PC and PS4 units, a 2.0m extension cable is supplied for PC gaming with 2 x 3.5mm plug for a mic & audio port set-up while a 1.2m cable with in-line controller and mic, allows connection to a smartphone.
