Ready for Record Store Day? Original vinyl experts Audio-Technica have the turntable for you...
The Audio-Technica AT-LP120USB turntable is available in a stunning black gloss finish - the perfect turntable for Record Store Day on Saturday 18th April.
Following the success of its AT-LP60USB turntable system, Audio-Technica is releasing its LP120USBC model in a stunning black gloss finish. Designed for the modern vinyl enthusiast, the LP120USB combines the quality playback of records with the ability to easily convert vinyl into digital media files for smartphones and laptops. The new black gloss livery now offers vinyl fans an alternative to the originals silver finish.
With a vinyl revival in full swing - 1.3m albums were sold in the UK last year - the Official Charts Company has launched the first ever UK vinyl sales chart. Turntables are back and no longer the sole preserve of audiophiles. Audio-Technica turntables can be seen at the latest record shop destination for savvy vinyl collectors: Rough Trade in Brooklyn, USA. The LP120USB is a modern turntable offering the best of both digital and analogue worlds.
Robert Morgan-Males, Marketing Director, Audio-Technica says, “The resurgence of vinyl shows more and more music fans are turning to the turntable to hear their favourite songs. The LP120USB delivers sonic performance but also easily digitises vinyl so music lovers can transfer their record collection to portable players and listen to it on the move. The original LP120USBC proved popular among vinyl users so in true rock’n’roll style, we have launched a black gloss version.”
Converting vinyl into digital music files couldn’t be easier on the LP120USB. Connect the turntable to a PC or Mac via USB (cable included) and using the supplied Audacity software users can begin to digitise records into popular digital audio formats such as MP3 and WAV. The software also lets the user edit files, adjust the equaliser and remove crackle and noise from older records.
With a built-in switchable phono preamp users can simply hook the LP120USB up to a hi-fi system or, for pure simplicity, a pair of active speakers. RCA output and 3.5mm-to- RCA adapter cables are supplied.
The LP120USB is designed to deliver superb fidelity with a pro-grade aluminium platter and slipmat, a pick-up arm with soft damping control and a dual magnet stereo cartridge with replaceable stylus.
The LP120USB is part of Audio-Technica’s range of turntables that include the entry level LP60USB and the LP1240USBDirect-Drive Professional DJ Turntable.
The Audio-Technica LP120USB is available now, priced £279 Inc VAT ( € 279 Exc Tax).
