Audio-Technica Searches For Singers With The GAK Factor
Leeds, UK, 01-11-2011: With the UK again caught up in fierce debate regarding the vocal abilities of X Factor participants like Frankie Cocozza, Audio-Technica has teamed up with MI retailer GAK to launch The GAK Factor.
From 1 November, budding singers are invited to upload their audition videos to YouTube and post a link to GAK’s Facebook Wall (www.facebook.com/gakmusic). The entry that most impresses the Audio-Technica and GAK judges will win a fantastic first prize of a pair of Audio-Technica ribbon microphones – the AT4080 and AT4081 have a combined retail value of more than £1500. Second and third place runners up will receive Audio-Technica AT4033 and AT2020 mics respectively, with each entrant receiving an Audio-Technica rucksack.
Audio-Technica senior UK marketing manager Harvey Roberts said, “We’re very pleased to have teamed up with GAK for The GAK Factor. It’s obviously designed to be a fun competition for participants, but we look forward to perhaps discovering some hidden UK talent too. I’d encourage anyone thinking of entering to do so sooner rather than later – and to keep an eye out for our announcement of the winner at midday on 1 December.”
