Autogas remains ‘driving force’ behind BTCC star

With just days to go before this year’s British Touring Car Championship takes to the grid, Autogas Limited has announced its continued support of Tom Onslow-Cole who is driving for Team HARD in a VW Passat CC.

While Tom is famous for his driving skills on the track, it’s perhaps less well-known that away from the fast and frenetic BTCC action he enjoys driving an autogas LPG powered Rover 25.

“BTCC circuits are spread across the UK giving many race fans the opportunity to watch live wheel-to-wheel action. However, it means many miles on the road for myself travelling between race tracks and other events, so using LPG offers me substantial costs savings on my fuel bill.

“Secondly, it’s great being able to promote the greener side of motoring with an LPG powered road car,” explained Tom.

Tom’s connection with Autogas started in 2010 when he drove a unique autogas LPG powered Ford Focus in the BTCC. In that year he led more laps and miles than anyone else, enjoyed four race wins and 11 podiums before eventually finishing fourth overall – his most successful season to date.
