Autoliv Elects New Director and Declares Dividends (Stockholm, February 10, 1999) - Autoliv Inc. (NYSE: ALV and SSE: ALIV), a worldwide leader in automotive safety has today elected the company's new President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Lars Westerberg, new Director of the Board for a regular three-year term, expiring at the Annual Stockholders' Meeting in 2002. He assumed his executive positions on February 1. The Board also declared a dividend of US $.11 per share of common stock, payable on Thursday June 3, 1999, to the Autoliv stockholders of record of the close of business of Thursday May 6, 1999. Autoliv Inc. develops and manufactures automotive safety systems for all major automotive manufacturers in the world. The company has 60 wholly-owned subsidiaries and joint ventures with over 20,000 employees in 28 vehicle- producing countries. In addition, the company has eight technical centers around the world, including 19 test tracks, more than any other automotive safety supplier.
