Report from the Autoliv shareholders' Meeting (Chicago, May 4, 2000) -- Autoliv Inc. (NYSE: ALV and SSE: ALIV), the worldwide leader in automotive safety systems, held its annual meeting in Chicago today. Shareholders' proxies were received in sufficient quantity to approve the proposals that came before the shareholders' meeting. This means that Gunnar Bark and Per Welin were re-elected directors of the corporation for a regular three-year term, and Ernst & Young AB was ratified as Autoliv's independent auditing firm for 2000. Dividend At the board meeting today, a dividend of 11 cents per share of common stock was declared. This dividend is payable on September 7, 2000 to all shareholders of record at the close of business on August 10, 2000. Autoliv Inc. develops and manufactures automotive safety systems for all major automotive manufacturers in the world. The company has 60 wholly-owned subsidiaries and joint ventures with more than 24,000 employees in 29 vehicle-producing countries. In addition, the company has eight technical centers around the world, including 19 test tracks, more than any other automotive safety supplier. Sales in 1999 amounted to US $3.8 billion and net income US $200 million.
