Outokumpu ownership in AvestaPolarit has increased to 87.9 per cent following settlement of share purchase from Corus AvestaPolarit Oyj Abp has yesterday been informed by Outokumpu Oyj that its ownership in AvestaPolarit has increased to 87.9 per cent (306,828,231 shares), following the settlement of the share deal between Outokumpu Oyj and Corus Group plc in which title to the 80,882,090 AvestaPolarit shares previously held by Corus has been passed to Outokumpu Oyj. Corus representatives resign from the Board Yesterday, AvestaPolarit has also received notices from Mr Tony P. Pedder and Mr David M. Lloyd, both Corus' executives, of their resignation from the AvestaPolarit Board of Directors as of yesterday, 14 August 2002.
