New version allows greater mobility, flexibility, encryption management tools and options for public safety environments(August 14, 2013) – Avtec Inc., manufacturer of the Scout™ VoIP communication console system used by the public safety, transportation, utility, business, and government industries, will be launching Scout 3.1 at the upcoming APCO (Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials) conference in Anaheim, Calif. Scout version 3.1 features a P25-compliant key management facility (KMF) interface that ensures secure over-the air- encryption when updating radio keys.
