Axel Johnson International acquires Swedish rope access specialist Klätterteknik
The acquisition is the result of a close cooperation between Klätterteknik and leading lifting equipment supplier Certex and strengthens Axel Johnson International’s business group AxLoad’s service offering within industrial fall protection equipment and rope access. Klätterteknik will become part of Certex Svenska AB.
The business group AxLoad comprises more than 30 companies specialised in steel wire ropes, lifting and cargo securing solutions for industry. Today the AxLoad business group has annual sales of EUR 350 million and operations in 19 countries.
Certex is a leading provider of steel wire ropes and lifting equipment for customers within the manufacturing, energy and maritime industries in Europe. With the acquisition of Klätterteknik, Certex in Sweden adds unique skills and expertise in industrial rope access to its service portfolio.

Klätterteknik is headquartered in Stockholm and supports industrial customers throughout Sweden. In addition to rope access services, the company also offers fall protection equipment and related services. Founded in 2010, Klätterteknik today has 50 employees and annual sales of SEK 50 million.
The acquisition is expected to be concluded in January, 2017.
