Bruno Wiik has been appointed Managing Director for Trailerkomponenter. Trailerkomponenter, also known as Trako, was acquired by Axel Johnson International AB and integrated in its Transport Solutions Group in January 2018.

Wiik has a background from the production industry, with different roles in Toyota Material Handling and Väderstad, a manufacturer of farm machinery. All in all, he has 20 years’ experience from welding, warehouse and production.

“We are very happy to have Bruno onboard to develop and modernize the company even more,” says Erik Eklöv, Managing Director Transport Solutions. “Bruno’s production background will be especially useful in this effort.”

Wiik succeeds Marie Fallman, who is retiring after almost 30 years in the company and the last 12 years as Managing Director. She will continue to assist Wiik during a transition period.

“On behalf of Transport Solutions, I thank Marie a lot for all her efforts during the years, which have made Trailerkomponenter a profitable, well-run company with high quality products,” Eklöv says. “I wish Marie and Bruno good luck with future challenges.”

Trako is located in eastern Sweden and focuses mainly on the production of draw bars for the Nordic market and selling vehicle components.

The appointment was effective September 17.

The Transport Solutions business group comprises leading European providers of cargo securing solutions and vehicle components. It includes ABKATI, Eigenbrodt, Sternhammar, Trailerkomponenter, TMT Malinen, Widni, Verne, Forankra Group and allsafe, with 750 employees and sales of EUR 200 million.
