Axel Johnson International’s Fluid Handling Solutions business group, AxFlow, has acquired Crest Process Engineering Limited – Radstock, effective October 1. The company sells pumps, spares, systems, ancillary equipment and service/repair in southwest England and south Wales. Its main markets are food & beverage, chemicals, industrial and marine.

Crest Process Engineering has a strong regional presence in the field of fluid handling and service support, so it complements AxFlow UK’s four service and repair centres in Slough, Huddersfield, Aberdeen and Durham. This dovetails with the AxFlow strategy of supporting customer needs locally.

“The Crest Process Engineering acquisition raises AxFlow’s profile as a complete pump company and makes us an attractive partner for UK customers,” says Ole Weiner, CEO, AxFlow Holding.

“Crest Process Engineering has extremely good long-term customer relationships,” says Tony Peters, Managing Director, AxFlow UK. “The sales, technical and service knowledge within Crest Process Engineering is also very good – they see great opportunities to sell AxFlow’s products and services. It also kick-starts further AxFlow UK growth of pump sales and service in the South West of England and South Wales.”

With the addition of Crest Process Engineering, the AxFlow company in Great Britain has 95 employees, including 30 hands-on service and workshop staff.
