Jens S. Group, part of Axel Johnson International’s business group Power Transmission Solutions, has through its subsidiary Jens S. Transmissioner A/S acquired KALTECH Gearservice ApS, effective 1 October 2019. KALTECH is a Danish provider of high value-added repair and maintenance services of gearboxes, couplings, breaks and cardan shafts used in various industrial settings.

“The acquisition of KALTECH is well in line with our business group strategy for expanded geographical presence and further strengthened market offering in services and technical expertise”, says Ola Sjölin, Managing Director, Power Transmission Solutions.

Founded in 1998, KALTECH Gearservice ApS is a Danish provider of high value-added repair and maintenance services of gearboxes, couplings, breaks and cardan shafts used in various industrial settings. The company has a particularly strong presence in the greater Copenhagen area and serves many of the regional blue-chip customers. KALTECH’s offering includes both onsite systematic maintenance and repair services along with inhouse heavy-duty milling and turning machinery capacity.

“The addition of KALTECH to Jens S. Transmissioner in Denmark is strategically a very good complement to the entire Jens S. Group, with its highly skilled workforce and comprehensive repair and maintenance service offering. It also fits well into our strategy in becoming a more holistic provider of technical solutions”, says Johan Benzler, Managing Director, Jens S. Group.
