Axel Johnson International forms sixth business group

Axel Johnson International forms its sixth business group Driveline Solutions, effective as of 1 January 2020. The new business group will focus on the driveline market and gathers companies providing drivetrain solutions for mobile-off highway, marine and industrial applications.

“The driveline solutions platform within Industrial Solutions has grown rapidly over the last years and is now ready to become a business group of its own,” says Martin Malmvik, CEO, Axel Johnson International. “This is in line with our strategy to build and create business groups in niche markets to make sure our companies can develop successfully through continuous organic and acquired growth.”

Business group Driveline Solutions will consist of companies within the driveline market focused on mobile off-highway, marine and industrial applications, among them the Trans-Auto Group, IOW Group and Marindus Group. Jan Brattberg has been appointed Managing Director of the Driveline Solutions business group, and he will stay on in his current position as CEO of Trans-Auto Group.

“Becoming a business group of our own makes it possible for us to increase our efforts in developing our existing businesses and look for new growth opportunities within our market,” says Jan Brattberg.

The Industrial Solutions business group will remain with its companies in industrial automation and heavy industry applications. Industrial Solutions will continue to be the business group that develops and grows new platforms, eventually creating new business groups.
