Axel Johnson International’s business group Driveline Solutions strengthens its position in the filter and hydraulic cylinder segments through the acquisition of Swedish-based company MIAS Group.

The acquisition of MIAS Group is well in-line with our strategy to strengthen our offering in products and services complementary to our mobile and industrial driveline solutions. MIAS Group is a well-run and profitable company, and through this acquisition we will be able to grow our existing Swedish filter business,” says Jan Brattberg, Managing Director, Driveline Solutions.

MIAS Group consists of two subsidiaries: MIAS Filter AB, a reseller of filters, and MIAS Cylinderfabrik AB, a manufacturer and reseller of hydraulic cylinders. Founded in 2005, with its headquarters in Ängelholm in the Southern part of Sweden, the company provides a complete assortment of filters and brands for industrial, mobile and stationary equipment and machines, with a competitive offering in hydraulic cylinders. In addition, MIAS has its own production of hydraulic cylinders for small series which enables the company to offer customers a short time to market as well as development of prototypes in close collaboration with customers.

To become part of business group Driveline Solutions, and Axel Johnson International, offers the opportunity to continue the company’s growth journey:

“We are happy to join forces with Axel Johnson International and look forward to taking the next step in the development and growth journey of MIAS Group. We value the entrance of an active owner with strong value-based leadership and cultural match,” says Stefan Nilsson, Founder and Managing Director of MIAS Group.
